Highland Games, June 2008:

This year, the crew was asked to help serve at the Highland Games.  The request came late, so only a few of us could make it.  Ultimately, we just "sang for our supper," because  after working most of Saturday, we were invited to return on Sunday an enjoy the games at no cost. 

One of the food vendors, told us "Scouts get free lemonade!"  We decided that we wouldn't correct them and say "We're Venturers not Scouts."  It sure hit the spot on a hot day.  At the end of the day, the same vendor sent us away with several leftover steak pies as well.
